Hello, I'm Heather, co-owner of Helmet Head. My career started straight out of high school. I always knew I wanted a job where I could be creative and make people happy. After going to a beauty-industry party with a friend I realized that these were my people. My first job was at an upscale downtown salon where I started out as a color technician for one of the senior stylists. After 6 years in the industry I met Sammy and we decided to strike out on our own and head to Georgetown!

It's been 7 years now and we love the neighborhood and love having the freedom to be exactly what we want. I like to create styles that are classic but edgy. I always say that I don't do cute, I do sexy. My greatest satisfaction is watching someone dance out of the shop—feeling great about themselves.
